“Organic” much more than food and farming…
From Jeff Cox
The word “organic” is perfectly serviceable applied to food, but the core insight of organic goes well beyond the realm of food production. It has to do with all aspects of living. Organic health care treats the causes, not the symptoms, of disease. The problem of global warming either has organic solutions or it has no solutions at all.
In other words, “organic” is about understanding nature and how she works within us and without us and then working with her natural energies, tendencies, and forces to increase health, harmony, and wholeness. So far, we’ve seen how it works in the garden and on the farm. But it goes much farther and much deeper. It’s important for all of us to keep our eyes open to the possibilities and potentials of nature and see how we can get in step with her in our daily lives.
